1. Data controller

2. What we collect
- Contact form: name, country of residence, phone/WhatsApp number, email (optional), specialty of interest, your message, your consent choices, and the page and language you used.
- Technical data: the hosting provider processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and time of visit to deliver and secure the site.
- Your cookie choice is stored in your own browser.
Medical reports are not collected through this website. If you choose to send reports by WhatsApp or email, they contain health data (a special category of personal data) and are processed only with your explicit consent, for assessing your case.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your request and coordinate your inquiry with the hospital’s international patient team.
- To arrange a review of your case when you send reports.
- To send information messages, only if you ticked the separate optional box.
- To keep the website secure.
4. Legal grounds (KVKK Articles 5 and 6)
Your explicit consent; steps needed at your request before a possible service relationship (Art. 5(2)(c)); our legitimate interest in website security (Art. 5(2)(f)). Health data is processed only with your explicit consent or where Article 6 allows it.
5. Transfers abroad (KVKK Article 9)
- The website is hosted, and contact-form submissions are stored, by Netlify, Inc. (United States). Contact details you send through the form are transferred there on the basis of your explicit consent.
- A copy of the form details is also recorded in a private Google Forms / Google Sheets file (Google LLC, United States), on the same basis, so our coordinators can follow up your request.
- If you contact us by WhatsApp, the message is processed by WhatsApp/Meta under their terms.
- Google Maps on the contact page loads only after you allow “Maps & external media” in the cookie settings.
6. Who can see it
Only the international patient team and, for case review, the medical team involved in your case. We do not sell personal data.
7. How long we keep it
Only as long as necessary for the purpose above and for legal obligations, then it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised. Form submissions are moved from the form provider to the hospital’s system and deleted from the form provider once no longer needed.
8. Your rights (KVKK Article 11)
- Learn whether your data is processed and request information about it;
- learn the purpose and whether it is used accordingly;
- know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred;
- request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
- request deletion or destruction under Article 7;
- request that corrections or deletions are notified to recipients;
- object to a result against you arising from automated analysis;
- claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
You can withdraw any consent at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
9. How to apply
Send your request by email to info@birunibridge.com or in writing to the address above. We reply within 30 days at the latest, free of charge unless the law provides otherwise.
